ABC’s “Good Morning America” made a significant mistake in a tweet reporting on Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s swearing-in ceremony.
“Ketanji Brown Jackson is sworn in as the first Black Supreme Court justice in U.S. history,” the show’s Twitter account read.
The show’s YouTube channel made the same statement.
It took almost five hours for the show to delete the tweet an issue a correction.
“Video shows Ketanji Brown Jackson sworn in as the first Black female Supreme Court justice in U.S. history,” the show tweeted.
The tweet continues, “A previous tweet erroneously stated Jackson is the first Black Supreme Court justice.”
Still, critics were quick to drag the show for the error.
Fox News pointed out Jackson was sworn in as the third Black person to serve on the court.
