Former FBI DirectorĀ James ComeyĀ will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee to testify about his agencyās Russia probe, the committeeās chairman Sen.Ā Lindsey GrahamĀ (R-S.C.) says.
Graham has been investigating the origins of the FBIās āCrossfire Hurricaneā probe ā which looked into whether members of President Donald Trumpās 2016 campaign coordinated with Russian operatives to swing the election.
āThe day of reckoning is upon us when it comes to Crossfire Hurricane,ā Graham said during an appearance on Fox News on Wednesday night. He noted that Comey will appear before his committee on September 30.
He continued, āI appreciate Mr. Comey coming before the committee, and he will be respectfully treated but asked hard questions. We are negotiating with McCabe; we are hoping to get him without a subpoena ā time will tell.ā
However, he said that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller āhas declined the invitation to the committee to appear to explain his reportā because āhe says he doesnāt have enough time.ā

Grahamās committee launched its investigation into āall things relatedā to the Russia probe in June, as IJR reported.
He said his goal was to examine the origins of the āCrossfire Hurricaneā investigation, the Justice Departmentās decision to file a motion to drop its prosecution of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, as well as the alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant abuses, and Muellerās probe.
So far, his committee has heard from former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates.
