Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is telling former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick to ālook in the mirror.ā
The former NFL player took to Twitter on Saturday, where he alleged that there āis nothing new about American terrorist attacks against Black and Brown people for the expansion of American imperialism.ā
Kaepernick ā who sparked controversy after he knelt during the national anthem in the 2016 season in protest of police brutality and racial inequality ā added in another tweet:
āAmerica has always sanctioned and besieged Black and Brown bodies both at home and abroad. America militarism is the weapon wielded by American imperialism, to enforce its policing and plundering of the non white world.ā
Kaepernickās comments come shortly after a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad at the end of last week, which resulted in Iranian top commander Qassem Soleimaniās death.
During a Fox News āSunday Morning Futuresā interview, Graham slammed Kaepernick as āa loser on and off the field,ā who āhas no idea what the Iranian regime has done to the region.ā
āHe has no idea they have 600 American deaths as a result of IEDs made in Iran, used in Iraq,ā Graham added. āIt is un-American. Heās a racist.ā
The Republican senator continued to claim that Kaepernick is āblindedā by the disapproval of President Donald Trump:
āIf you are looking for racism in America, Mr. Kaepernick, look in the mirror. Your country is not the problem, itās the Iranians, and youāre so blinded by your hatred of Trump that you canāt see the difference between who we are and who the Ayatollah is. Pretty sad.ā

As IJR previously reported, Kaepernickās comments didnāt sit well with some.
Megyn Kelly was among those who blasted the former NFL player, as she tweeted, āBecause everything is racist. Everything. Even fighting back against terrorists who kill Americans. Nike, feeling proud?ā
