Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) recently visited New York City to show her support for former President Donald Trump.

And her assessment of the conditions there was not positive.

The Georgia congresswoman appeared on Fox News’ ā€œTucker Carlson Tonightā€ Wednesday and was asked if the city was ā€œpretty neat and tidy.ā€

ā€œI compared it to what I call Gotham City. The streets are filthy, they’re covered with people basically dying on drugs. They can’t even stand up, they’re falling over,ā€ Greene responded.

She added, ā€œThere’s so much crime in the city, I can’t comprehend how people live there. It was repulsive. It smells bad. And I think it’s a terrible place.ā€

Carlson chimed in to say there are ā€œsome niceā€ people who live in the city.

Earlier this week, Trump was arraigned in a Manhattan courthouse and charged with 34 felony counts. He pleaded not guilty.

Greene shared she would travel to the city to hold a rally in support of Trump.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) mentioned the Georgia congresswoman as he said, ā€œPeople like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech, she stated she’s coming to town.ā€

ā€œWhile you’re in town, be on your best behavior,ā€ he added.

In case you missed it:

In a tweet, Greene took aim at Adams as she wrote, ā€œDelusional is trying to intimidate, threaten, and stop me from using my 1st amendment rights to peacefully protest the Democrat’s unconstitutional weaponization of our justice system against our top Republican Presidential candidate, President Trump.ā€

ā€œMayor Adams should be more concerned about NY citizens and taxpayers being murdered, raped, robbed, and carjacked than an elected Member of Congress coming to town,ā€ Greene continued.

She asked, ā€œOr should I be the one concerned that the mayor of NYC will weaponize his government or maybe his thugs like DA Alvin Bragg against me??ā€
