Vice President Kamala Harrisā campaign is seeking to push the image of former President Donald Trump as someone who is a serial liar.
On Monday, her campaign posted on X, āDonald Trump has a real problem with the truth.ā
A narrator states at the beginning of an ad, āHis lies never stop.ā
The video then shows Trump claiming credit for a $35 cap per month on insulin, followed by a clip of President Joe Biden signing legislation that implemented the cap.
And as the ad continues to play several other claims by Trump it listed as lies, it also featured one claim he made about looks.
āIām a better-looking person,ā Trump says in the video.
During a rally last month, Trump mentioned a depiction of Harris on the cover of Time Magazine.
āI mean Time magazine. Think of this. Time Magazine. Doesnāt have a picture of her. They have this unbelievable artist drawing her. And I said, is that Sophia Loren? Who might that be? Is that Elizabeth Taylor? They say she was a beautiful woman. Who is it? So a beautiful drawing. Itās a drawing. They took a lot of pictures. It didnāt work out. So they hired a sketch artist. I said, Iām sure. Oh, they must be celebrating the great life and times of the magnificently beautiful Sophia Loren,ā the former president said.
Trump went on, āAnd you are not allowed to say this anymoreā¦I read a so-called Republican who Ronald Reagan didnāt like, by the way, and she didnāt like him, but she got credit for being this Reagan speechwriter. Highly overrated. I donāt know anything about her. I donāt know her. Treated me badly. But thatās okay. She called it wrong. Sheās called it wrong now for about eight years. But she said one thing that got me. She said Kamala has one big advantage.ā
āSheās a very beautiful woman. Sheās a beautiful woman. So, I decided to go back and reread the clause. Iām not saying heās, but I say that I am much better looking than her. I think Iām much better. Iām a better looking person than Kamala,ā he added.
