President Joe Bidenās conversation with a mayor in Florida took an unexpected turn.
During a briefing on Hurricane Ian recovery Wednesday, Biden struck up a conversation with Fort Myers Mayor Ray Murphy after responding to questions from reporters.
āThanks for everything. Thanks for coming down, we appreciate it,ā Murphy said.
At one point, the president could be heard saying, āNo one f***s with a Biden.ā
Murphy replied, āGoddamn right.ā
Biden went on, āAnd you canāt argue with your brothers outside the house.ā
The mayor responded, āThatās exactly right⦠Good to see you.ā

Another bizarre moment from Bidenās visit came as he suggested he knew what residents of Florida were going through because lightning struck his house almost 20 years ago, as IJR reported.
āI know from experience how much anxiety, and fear, concern there are in the people,ā he said.
Biden added, āWe didnāt lose our whole home, but lightning struck and we lost an awful lot of it.ā
The president and Florida Gov.Ā Ron DeSantis (R) also appeared to put aside their differences for a moment.
Politico reported DeSantis thanked Biden for the work between the federal government and Florida.
Additionally, the president praised DeSantis for how he has handled the disaster.
āI think heās done a good job,ā Biden said.
He continued, āWe have very different political philosophies, but weāve worked hand in glove.ā
