The vote came as the death toll rises among U.S. service members.
Eighteen troops have died since the U.S. and Israel launched joint strikes against Iran in late February.
“This is a vote of conscience. This is a vote that requires us to find the strength to do what is right for the American people, and to send the clearest, even stronger message to this president of the United States that the United States Congress, the House of Representatives, is reasserting our authority over war. This war must end,” Jayapal said in remarks on the House floor Wednesday ahead of the vote.
Both chambers of Congress approved similar resolutions in June.
The same four House Republicans joined all Democrats in voting for a war powers resolution in June.
GOP Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.), Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Bill Cassidy (La.) backed a war powers resolution in June l in the Senate.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Wednesday that Senate Democrats will force a war powers resolution on the floor Thursday.

“Every senator will have to make a choice,” Schumer said. “You cannot claim to support the troops while leaving them trapped in war with no mission and no end. You cannot call it a victory while the battlefield keeps expanding, and you cannot hide the wounded and call it peace.”
Trump warned Iran against attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz in a Truth Social post Wednesday.
The U.S. said these attacks are a breach of the ceasefire agreement that each side agreed to in June.
“From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT, including those located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran,” Trump wrote.

I probably won’t be around when it happens but just remember this vote when Iran develops nuclear weapons and obliterates Israel and b0mbs the living daylights out of the USA. I am terrified for my grandchildren.
We should have wiped them off the map quickly and efficiently. Trump was only holding back because of all the pressure he received from rhinos and idiots.
Trump has betrayed the American people by not following through with his promise of no more wars. It’s time to stop spending billions on wars on behalf of other nations.
The GOP that joined with the Communist Democrats are traitors and should change parties or better get voted out !
There is no War powers Act in the Constitution...only Congress can declare War. All other actions are military engagements
There is a muslim who is running for mayor in Carrollton TX. He claims that veterans have sacrificed NOTHING. He claims the US military has done nothing for the US. Remember what you have said when you want someone to protect your rights!!!
