‘I’m Mad’: James Carville Predicts There Could Be ‘Uprising Within The Democratic Party’ In Coming Months

Democratic strategist James Carville predicted Tuesday there could be an “uprising within the Democratic Party” in the coming months if top lawmakers’ “plan” does not yield results.

Democrats are facing record-low favorability, while Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries have garnered criticism for not effectively leading their party. Carville said on “The Situation Room” that even he is angry at his own party due to losing in November to President Donald Trump.

“I’m mad at the Democratic Party … When you lose an election — a party exists for one reason and one reason only, and that is to win the election. We lost,” Carville said. “But there’s nothing permanent about this. I’ll remind people Wisconsin Supreme Court is coming up. We got a huge Virginia governor’s race. They have legislative challenges.”
