International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach suggests that there is no scientific way to determine whether someone is male or female.
On Friday, a reporter asked Bach if the IOC would “commit to a review of your guidelines on this matter given the controversy about what’s happened.”
He responded, “We have said from the beginning if somebody is presenting us a scientifically solid system how to identify men and women, we’re the first ones to do it.”
“We do not like this uncertainty,” he added. “We would be more than pleased to look into it.”
