MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough is blasting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) reaction to the first-ever indictment of a former president.

During a segment of ā€œMorning Joeā€ Friday, Scarborough discussed a tweet sent by the Florida governor vowing not to assist in an extradition of former President Donald Trump after his indictment.

ā€œRon Desantis embarrassed himself by saying he was going to fight extradition charges,ā€ the MSNBC host said, adding, ā€œOne more Republican that really just doesn’t give a damn about the Constitution of the United States.ā€

He also focused on a line that labeled Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg a ā€œSoros-backedā€ prosecutor.

ā€œIt’s just Jews. They’re attacking Jewish international bankers,ā€ Scarborough claimed.

He went on, ā€œIt’s what anti-Semites have been doing for hundreds of years, attacking Jewish international bankers. And that’s what they do, they try to blame everything on Jewish international bankers.ā€

ā€œIt’s Germany 1933,ā€ he added.

In a tweet after news of Trump’s indictment, DeSantis wrote, ā€œThe weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head. It is un-American.ā€

ā€œThe Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent,ā€ he continued.

He added, ā€œFlorida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.ā€

George Soros, who is Jewish, is a billionaire philanthropist who has made political donations to Democratic candidates in the U.S.

According to The New York Times, ā€œThe connections between and Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney, are real but overstated.ā€

It explained Soros donated to a liberal organization, Color of Change, that supports progressive prosecutors.

The political arm of Color of Change endorsed Bragg in 2021 and spent nearly $500,000 on efforts to help his campaign.
