JD Vance Turns Tables On Reporter Asking About Susie Wiles’ Alleged Accusation That He’s A ‘Conspiracy Theorist’

Vice President J.D. Vance stated on Tuesday that he only believes in conspiracy theories that are “true” in response to a question about a report that White House chief of staff Susie Wiles called him a “conspiracy theorist.”

Vanity Fair published its interview with Wiles on Tuesday where it quoted her saying that Vance has “been a conspiracy theorist for a decade,” though she later called the article a “disingenuously framed hit piece” on the administration. During a speech in Pennsylvania, Vance told a reporter with The Washington Post that he has believed many things deemed conspiracies by the media, but then later turned out to be true.

“Sometimes I am a conspiracy theorist, but I only believe in the conspiracytheories that are true. And by the way, Susie and I have joked in private and in public about that for a longtime.For example, I believed in the crazy conspiracy theory back in 2020 that it was stupid tomask three-year-olds at the height of the COVID pandemic, that we should actually let them develop some language skills.I believed in this crazy conspiracy theory that the media and the government were coveringup the fact that Joe Biden was clearly unable to do the job.”

“And I believed in the conspiracy theory that Joe Biden was trying to throw his politicalopponents in jail rather than win an argument against his political opponents,” Vance continued. “So, at least on some of these conspiracy theories, it turns out that a conspiracy theory is justsomething that was true six months before the media admitted it.”
