The off-again status came to fruition Tuesday as Lopez filed for Divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court after two years of marriage, per CNN.
The pair’s relationship has been in the spotlight lately after they reportedly been living apart.
Lopez also canceled her summer tour to spend time with family.
They also put their Beverly Hills home up for sale.
The two were married more than 20 years after they first met on the set of“Gigli.”
They were dubbed as “Bennifer” and initially got engaged in November 2002.
That wedding never happened when it was postponed days before it was to take place in September 2003. The reason for the postponement was “excessive media attention” regarding the wedding.
