When it came to a question on who House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) is, âJeopardy!â contestants just werenât exactly sure.
In the âU.S. Representativesâ category, âJeopardy!â host Alex Trebek read the description, âOne-fifty-third of Californiaâs House delegation is this House Intelligence Committee chairmanâ â the question being for $1,200.
A photo of Schiff also popped up on the screen. However, no one was able to answer who he is.

âJeopardy!â episodes, however, are taped about three months in advance to them airing, according to the Insider, which puts the particular episode with the question on Schiff around October.
As The Hill notes, that would mean the episode was filmed around when the House of Representatives was holding closed-door Impeachment hearings.
The clip from Wednesday nightâs episode drew a few reactions on Twitter:
In recent months, Schiff has played a big role in helping to lead the Houseâs Impeachment hearings charging President Donald Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
On Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) tapped Schiff as one of the seven Impeachment managers to prosecute Trump in the Senate Impeachment trial, as IJR reported. The Senate trial is expected to begin next Tuesday, Jan. 21.
