Country star John rich celebrated his win in a COVID-19-related lawsuit, saying he is happy to have “never bent the knee.”
Rich took to Twitter to share the news with his followers.
“During the lockdowns, I stated I’d NEVER play a concert venue that forced fans to show their ‘papers’ for entry concerning Covid,” Rich tweeted Thursday.
He added, “One venue added that rule after I agreed to play, so I cancelled it. The promoter sued me. He LOST the case today! Happy to say I never bent the knee.”
Several supporters praised Rich.
Fox News’ Joey Jones tweeted, “Thank you for being authentic my friend!”
Republican Kari Lake wrote, “You are a hero. Thank you for standing up EARLY ON for our Medical Freedom and Medical Privacy.”
One user simply said, “Congrats, . Thank you for refusing to bend the knee.”
Still, there was some pushback with one user writing, “I won’t be attending any of your concerts anytime soon. With that attitude, the likely attendees are going to be a concentrated group of anti-vaxxers. It sounds like a great place to catch Covid. To other John rich fans: if you’re smart, you will stay away too.”
Rich replied, “Sounds like a plan.”
The country singer previously voiced his criticism of former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Reacting to the news that Fauci would be stepping down from his role, Rich tweeted, “Fauci has resigned. I’m guessing it’s so he has time to prepare with his lawyers for his appearance at the 2023 Nuremberg Code trials.”
