Jordan Turpin is sharing what life has been like since being rescued from a āhouse of horrors.ā
Turpin spoke to People and said that she wants to take what she went through and turn it around into something more positive, where she can actually help others and āmake a difference in the worldā which helps her too.
In 2018, 17-year-old Turpin climbed out the window and called 9-1-1. Due to her bravery, she and her 12 siblings were rescued from the horrific abuse they endured while living in their parentsā home.
Since then, the now 21-year-old has been able to experience freedom and obtained her high school diploma.
āOh my gosh. It was just so cool being around people my age and like just seeing how the real world is,ā she said about her accomplishment. āJust seeing how other people are and stuff and I learned a lot from high schoolā¦and it was some really, really cool experiences and Iām really thankful that I got to have my senior year.ā

Turpin said that in the future she does want to go back to school to study motivational speaking and English.
Turpin also spoke about what it has been like living on her own.
āItās really, really nice. Like in the beginning thereās a lot to learn and stuff. At first, it was unreal because it was this is everything I ever wanted to be free. I feel so much free and independence and I can decorate my place however I want and Iām very organized,ā she said.
Turpin added she loves āgetting creativeā and sheās very happy to have her own place right now.
She said that getting together with all of her siblings and trying new things is what makes her āthe most excitedā and something she looks forward to.
āWeāre very strong and we always try to stay positive and weāre really all fast learners. Iām just really proud because itās been hard to learn everything in such a short time and we all do really, really good, and Iām just proud of all of my siblings and I for that. Itās just amazing,ā she said.
