Trump Jr. Tells GOP Lawmakers Who ‘Did Nothing To Stop the Steal’: ‘This Is Donald Trump’s Republican Party’

Donald Trump Jr. has a warning to Republicans who are not sufficiently supportive of President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the presidential election results: You are not in line with the party. 

Trump Jr. told supporters of his father who gathered in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, that their rally should serve as a warning to Congressional Republicans who oppose efforts to block the certification of the Electoral College vote that they are not aligned with the party. 

“It should be a message to all the Republicans who have not been willing to actually fight, the people who did nothing to stop the steal,” he said.

He continued, “This gathering should send a message to them: This isn’t their Republican Party anymore. This is 👤Donald Trump’s Republican Party. This is the Republican Party that will put America first.”

The “Save America” rally began shortly before Congress convened a joint session to formally certify the Electoral College vote. At the end of the normally ceremonial proceedings, Vice President Mike Pence will declare President-elect Joe Biden the winner of the election.
