Piers Morgan skewered Democratic lawmakers Thursday over their “pathetic” behavior during President Donald Trump’s address to Congress.
The Democrats protested Trump’s speech in the House chamber Tuesday night and refused to applaud his special guests, with one congressman even getting escorted out for shouting at the president as he spoke. Morgan said on “Fox & Friends” that their antics were “the most pathetic, petty, shameful” behavior he had witnessed.
“I thought it was one of the most pathetic, petty, shameful things I’ve ever witnessed and it went on and on and on. Back in we have Parliament, it gets very rowdy, very noisy, they all have a pump at each other, they lock horns. What you would never see is a 13-year-old boy, a brain cancer survivor, who’s been through 12 surgeries I think, who’s there having his dream lived out on global television and Donald Trump has facilitated that. Just get up,” Morgan said. “Get up and applaud that boy. The fact that they couldn’t even do that was just contemptible, I really did.”
“And the Democrats should take a good, hard look at themselves because the stupid signs, the not getting up for these poor families of these murdered people, the way they treated that boy, the walkouts, the silly Instagram stuff they did afterward, ‘look at me, I didn’t go in,’ this is the President of the United States speaking in the heart of Politics,” Morgan continued.

Morgan argued that Democrats have “lost the plot” since the 2024 election and are currently scrambling to make a political comeback in future elections. He further stated that Trump is defeating the party on major issues such as women’s rights, as Democrats cannot even support banning men from competing in women’s sports while they verbally cheer on women’s rights.
