Grammy winner Justin Timberlake is expected to be in court Friday after reaching a plea deal regarding a charge of driving while intoxicated.
A spokesperson for the Suffolk County District Attorneyās Office said Wednesday that Timberlake will be at the hearing, NBC News reported.
The hearing will be held in the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on Long Island, New York.
Timberlake, 43, was charged on June 18 after he was pulled over after allegedly driving through a stop sign.
He was subsequently arrested after allegedly failing a sobriety test. He was released hours later after his arraignment.
Details of the plea agreement were not clear.
According to the complaint, a Sag Harbor Village police officer said Timberlake told him he only had āone martini.ā
However, his āeyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot,ā the officer wrote in the complaint.
The judge suspended Timberlakeās license during a hearing last month.
The singer attended the hearing virtually from Belgium, where he was touring.
The judge also admonished Timberlakeās attorney, Edward Burke Jr. for āirresponsibleā comments he made criticizing law enforcement.
