Comedian Kathy Griffin is once again back in the political spotlight ā and she is not holding back.
In a candid conversation with writer E. Jean Carroll during a Substack Live event, Griffin claimed she does not believe President Donald Trump won the 2024 election fairly ā and says she doesnāt care if people think sheās wearing a ātinfoil hat.ā
āPeople think Iām tinfoil hat because I donāt think he won in a free and fair election this time,ā Griffin said during the livestream posted on Tuesday to YouTube. Carroll asked who she believed won the election.
Griffin added, āNo, Iām going to take a hit for that, and I understand, but thatās just my humble opinion.ā

The clip, flagged by The Daily Callerās Jason Cohen, didnāt stop at Trump.
Griffin also cast doubt on Elon Musk, the billionaire tech mogul who briefly headed up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under Trump and was tasked with slashing $2 trillion from the federal budget.
āI donāt trust the Elon connection,ā Griffin said. āI have my suspicions and yet at the tender age of 64, I never thought I would say something. And I know that sounds crazy, but I just had to put that out there because I canāt resist getting in trouble.ā
Musk left DOGE and has been openly critical of several Trump initiatives since, including the 47th presidentās much-hyped ābig, beautiful billā signed into law on Independence Day.
Carroll, who accused Trump of sexual abuse in the 1990s, echoed Griffinās doubts about the election.
āThereās a wave of people who agree with you,ā she said.
Griffin responded: āThatās why Iām sort of saying it out loud now because look, Iām not a conspiracy theorist. But something about him winning every swing state, all seven ā¦Ā it doesnāt sit right with me. But I also donāt know if weāll really find out anything in my lifetime.ā
Griffin has expressed similar sentiments before.
In a recent exchange with former CNN anchor Don Lemon, she stated: āI do not think Trump won in a free and fair election. I believe there was tampering.ā
With celebrity voices now adding to the noise surrounding 2024ās hotly contested results, the political temperature continues to rise ā and Griffin, never one to shy away from controversy, just threw more gasoline on the fire.
