Lara Trump Worries President Won’t Always ‘Get Lucky’ After Mar-a-Lago Shooting

President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, expressed concern about the president’s chances of surviving assassination attempts on Monday after U.S. Secret Service agents shot and killed a man attempting to force his way into his Mar-a-Lago residence.

Two agents and a deputy from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office on Sunday “confronted” the individual, who was armed with a shotgun and possessed a gas can, according to a press conference held by federal and local law enforcement officials following a statement from the U.S. Secret Service. The president’s daughter-in-law argued on “Fox & Friends” that incendiary rhetoric about the president led to the incident, which followed two assassination attempts on him during the 2024 presidential campaign.

“henever you just casually throw around terms like Nazi, like fascist, like Hitler and racist, what do you think the consequences of that ultimately will be?” she said. “We are better than this as a country.”

“And I’ll tell you as a family member, I keep wondering how many chances does one man get? He’s not gonna be lucky enough at some point,” she continued. “Thank God he wasn’t at Mar-a-Lago and the First Lady wasn’t there this weekend. But you don’t get lucky every single time, guys.”
