“The Widowmaker,” Sheppard continued, referencing the name for his Heart attack.

A widowmakerHeart attack occurs when there’s a blockage in the LAD and blood is unable to circulate through the artery.

Sheppard thanked his wife, the Los Angeles Fire Department, and the staff at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center for helping him during this time.

“My chances of survival were virtually nil,” Sheppard added. “I feel great. Humbled once more. Home tomorrow!”

Several people such as actors Misha Collins, John Barrowman, and Cary Elwes responded to Sheppard’s post by leaving him messages.

“Omg Mark!” Elwes, who is known for playing Westley in “The Princess Bride,” wrote. “Hope you are doing better. Sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.”

Barrowman, who is known for roles such as Captain Jack Harkness in the Television show “Doctor Who” and Malcolm Merlyn in “Arrow,” told Sheppard “if there is anything” he needs or that Barrowman “can do” to let him know.

“I am just a small journey away,” Barrowman added. “Please do all they tell you to make yourself heal and get well. You are a lovely soul and a lovely man. I am sending you lots of love.”

Collins, known for playing Castiel in “Supernatural,” told Sheppard he didn’t “need to do the most and biggest every time,” adding that “2 or 3” heart attacks “would have been impressive enough.”

“You’ve impressed us, okay,” Collins added. “Now stop with this heal up and get back on the road with us. Love you, pal.”
