Schrepfer further stated although Rettonâs âjourneyâ is âlengthy,â seeing her âimprovements is incredibly heartening!â
âSheâs responding so well to treatments,â she shared.
Schrepfer concluded her statement by expressing her âheartfelt gratitudeâ to everyone for their âoverwhelming love and support.â
This came after she posted a video on her Instagram page on Oct. 11 revealing Retton, 55, was âstill fightingâ after the news broke of her hospitalization on Oct. 10.
âItâs going to be a day-by-day process, and we hope that you guys will respect her boundaries as we want to keep the details between her and our family right now,â Schrepfer shared. âSheâs been treated with the best of the best professionals here, and it has been such a blessing to have their hands on her.â
She continued, âSo please continue the prayers and we cannot thank you enough for the love and support that you guys have shown.â
On Oct. 12, Rettonâs daughter McKenna Lane Kelley also posted an update on her Instagram page.
âMy sisters Skyla, Shayla and Emma and I would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support for our Mom. Mom is in ICU and continues to fight,â she wrote.
Kelley revealed her mother was âgetting incredible medical care.â
âThank you to all the doctors and nurses! We ask for continued prayers and positive thoughts for our Mom,â she concluded.
