White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany participated in a heated exchange with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during her press briefing Friday.

Close to the end of her time at the podium, McEnany claimed President Donald Trump “was never given an orderly transition of power.”

She added, “His presidency was never accepted.”

McEnany noted before the election, former FBI agent Peter Strzok launched Crossfire Hurricane to “pursue baseless allegations about the president’s ties with Russia.”

She argued 70 Democratic lawmakers refused to attend his inauguration.

“In January of that year, you had President Obama have a ‘by the book’ meeting where they talked about the Logan Act, using that act to go after lieutenant general Michael Flynn just before the inauguration,” McEnany said.

She added, “Just before the inauguration you had Buzzfeed promoting and publishing this bogus Steele Dossier that’s been widely debunked.

McEnany pointed to what she believes is the “baseless Mueller investigation which searched for collusion, found none, and exonerated President Trump.”

As she began to leave the podium, CNN’s Kaitlan Collins continued to try and ask McEnany a question.

McEnany replied, “I don’t call on activists.”

Collins fired back, “I’m not an activist and you haven’t taken questions since October 1st and you just took about five, Kayleigh. That’s not doing your job. Your taxpayer-funded job.”

She tweeted, “Appearing in her professional capacity, takes only a handful of questions in her first briefing since Oct. 1. Asked why can’t call on all reporters — given it’s been so long and there are not many of us due to social distancing — she called me ‘an activist.'”

She went on, “It’s understandable why someone who hasn’t done their job — taking questions from reporters — in weeks would confuse someone else doing theirs with activism.”

Trump continues to refuse to concede the election based on unsubstantiated allegations of widespread voter fraud.
