Co-host of âThe Viewâ Meghan McCain is expressing her disappointment in President Joe Biden for failing to wear a mask while he was at the Lincoln Memorial.
âWe have President Biden yesterday, him and his family, theyâre not wearing masks after mandating and requiring people to wear masks on federal property. He and his family were not wearing masks out,â McCain said on Friday.
She added, âI think the rules for thee, but not for me that have been going on for a long time in the Trump administration and now youâre seeing it with President Biden. I was really disappointed he wasnât wearing a mask.â

McCain explained she believes the âgreat horrorâ of being an American right now is the decline of trust in the nationâs institutions.
She criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci for his misinformation about masks at the beginning of the pandemic.
âI remember being told and, I too, would like to be treated like an adultâŚthat masks donât work and to throw them away,â McCain said.
She went on, âJust say to me, âFirst responders need them more than average Americans. Please donate them for the good of your heart.â I wouldâve done the same thing, but I was lied to.â
McCain turned her attention to Amazonâs willingness to assist Biden with vaccine distribution, but not doing the same thing under Trump.
âI would also like to say, Amazon, I donât really understand why youâre now offering the Biden administration help with COVID vaccines after months of complete silence from Trump, because that seems political as well,â she said.
McCain explained, âSo why does Jeff Bezos now all of a sudden want to help with vaccine distribution, but he didnât during the Trump administration? There is a lot of blame to go around everywhere. Yes, President Trump was integral in spreading false information, but Iâm not about to give Dr. Fauci a profile in courage award this morning.â
