Former First Lady Melania Trump slammed her former friend after suggesting Christmas is not important to her.
Trump took to her husbandâs Truth Social platform to blast Stephanie Winston Wolkoff.
The New York Times noted Wolkoff was also an ex-Trusted Advisor to the first lady.
âWhile I was serving as First Lady of our country, Stephanie Wolkoff secretly recorded several of our conversations. Wolkoff then spitefully edited and released our conversation to create the perception that Christmas is not significant to me,â Trump wrote.
She added, âChristmas is an important time for me, my family, and the American people, and my devotion to the holiday is personal and profoundly serious.â
Trump acknowledged that âmost people will agree that reuniting migrant children with their parents is more important than discussing Christmas decorations during summertime.â
She continued, âThe fact that Wolkoff deleted this part of our conversation, where I expressed hope to reunite families split apart at the southern border, exposes her malicious intent.â
Calling Wolkoff âuntrustworthy,â Trump noted that her contract with her office was terminated in 2018.

Wolkoff previously released a recording of a 2018 phone call with Trump where the first lady expressed her frustration with Christmas decorations.
âWho gives a f**k about Christmas stuff and decoration? But I need to do it, right?â Trump said at the time.
Wolkoff responded to Trumpâs comments on Twitter.
âPATHETIC! Melania Trump needs to attack ME to sell Christmas ornament NFTâs. What is Melania worried about? She canât sell ornaments on her own?â Wolkoff tweeted.
She added, âWhatâs the next attack against me? When she tries to sell lightweight jackets that say âI DONâT REALLY CARE! DO YOU?'â
