MTG Claims DOJ Was ‘Planning to Assassinate’ Trump After New Detail Revealed About Mar-a-Lago Search

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is claiming the Department of Justice wanted to assassinate former President Donald Trump.

On Tuesday evening, the Georgia congresswoman reacted to the news that deadly force was authorized during the FBI’s execution of a search warrant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in 2022.

“The Biden DOJ and FBI were planning to assassinate Pres Trump and gave the green light. Does everyone get it yet???!!!!” she asked on X.

Greene added, “What are Republicans going to do about it? I tried to oust our Speaker who funded Biden’s DOJ AND FBI, but Democrats stopped it.”

It was reported Tuesday documents revealed the Biden administration approved the use of deadly force during the FBI’s search of Mar-a-Lago in 2022 in an effort to retrieve classified documents.

The FBI told Fox News, “The FBI followed standard protocol in this search as we do for all search warrants, which includes a standard policy statement limiting the use of deadly force. No one ordered additional steps to be taken and there was no departure from the norm in this matter.”

“An ‘Operations Order’ produced in discovery as part of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump’s alleged improper retention of classified records revealed that the ‘FBI believed its objective for the Mar-a-Lago raid was to seize ‘classified information, NDI, and US Government records,’’ as described in the search warrant,'” Fox noted.

The documents show law enforcement officials “planned to bring ‘Standard Issue Weapons,’ ‘Ammo,’ ‘Handcuffs,’ and ‘medium and large sized bolt cutters,’ but they were instructed to wear ‘unmarked polo or collared shirts’ and to keep ‘law enforcement equipment concealed.” 

Trump responded to the news, writing on Truth Social, “WOW! I just came out of the Biden Witch Hunt Trial in Manhattan, the ‘Icebox,’ and was shown Reports that Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, in their Illegal and UnConstitutional Raid of Mar-a-Lago, AUTHORIZED THE FBI TO USE DEADLY (LETHAL) FORCE. NOW WE KNOW, FOR SURE, THAT JOE BIDEN IS A SERIOUS THREAT TO DEMOCRACY. HE IS MENTALLY UNFIT TO HOLD OFFICE — 25TH AMENDMENT!”
