Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is lashing out at one of her Republican colleagues with new a nickname after he voted against her censure resolution.
After the House voted to table her motion to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), the Georgia congresswoman vented her frustration with Republicans who voted against the measure.
In a tweet on Thursday, Greene responded to Rep. Chip Royâs (R-Texas) explanation of why he voted to table the resolution.
âYou voted to kick me out of the freedom caucus, but keep CNN wannabe Ken Buck and vaping groping Lauren Boebert and you voted with the Democrats to protect Terrorist Tlaib,â she wrote on X, formerly Twitter, adding, âYou hate Trump, certified Bidenâs election, and could care less about J6 defendants being persecuted.â
Greeneâs comment refers to an incident involving Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) earlier this year when she was caught on camera vaping and getting handsy with her date at a performance of the play âBeetlejuice.â
Speaking to reporters, Roy responded to Greeneâs post as he said, âTell her to go chase so-called Jewish space lasers if she wants to spend time on that sort of thing.â
The Georgia representative fired back, âOh shut up Colonel Sanders, youâre not even from Texas, more like the DMV. Chip Royâs career exist of working for politicians, working for campaigns for politicians, and being a politician himself.â
âUnity Party all the way! Which is why you will never hold anyone accountable,â she added.
On Wednesday, the House voted 222-186 to table a censure resolution against Tlaib.
Twenty-three Republicans voted against it.
