Twitter owner Elon Musk is winning praise for information he shared about the one of platformâs policies.
On Tuesday, commentary James Esses wrote, âYesterday, after posting a Tweet saying that I reject the word âcisâ and donât wish to be called it, I receive a slew of messages from trans activists calling me âcissyâ and telling me that I am âcisâ âwhether or not I like itâ Just imagine if the roles were reversed.â
Musk responded, âRepeated, targeted harassment against any account will cause the harassing accounts to receive, at minimum, temporary suspensions.â
âThe words âcisâ or âcisgenderâ are considered slurs on this platform,â he added.
The Daily Wireâs Ben Shapiro responded, âThis is the way.â
âElon gets it. The people criticizing him, especially self-styled conservatives criticizing him, sadly do not!â wrote conservative commentator Michael Knowles.
Another user wrote, âThank you! And for those who donât know, here is some background on the origin of âcisgender,â as coined by German sexologist Volkmar Sigusch.â
Some conservatives disagreed with the policy:
The term cisgender refers to people whose gender identity matches their sex at birth.
