Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is offering advice to Republicans on how to look good following their criticism of her outfit she wore during a photoshoot for the December issue of Vanity Fair.
Fox Newsâs Laura Ingraham tweeted a link to a story published by the news outlet revealing the outfit Ocasio-Cortez wore was worth $14,000.
She replied, â100% worth it, would do again. (& I donât know if youâve been in a photoshoot Laura, but you donât keep the clothes.).â
Ocasio-Cortez added. âThe whole âshe wore clothes in a magazine, letâs pretend theyâre hersâ gimmick is the classic Republican strategy of âletâs willfully act stupid, and if the public doesnât take our performative stupidity seriously then weâll claim bias. GOP, get yourselves together. Itâs sad.â
She later issued another tweet telling Republicans how they can look better.
âRepublicans are Very Mad (again) about my appearance. This time theyâre mad that I look good in borrowed clothes (again). Listen, if Republicans want pointers on looking your best, Iâm happy to share. Tip #1: Drink water and donât be racist,â Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
During her Vanity Fair interview, Ocasio-Cortez torched Trump for his tax records.
âThese are the same people saying that we canât have tuition-free public colleges because thereâs no money when these motherfââs are only paying $750 a year in taxes,â she said.
Shortly after The New York Times obtained over two decades of Trumpâs tax information, the news outlet alleged in an article Trump paid $750 in federal income tax in 2016 and 2017.
Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to blast Trump, as IJR previously reported.
âIn 2016 & â17, I paid thousands of dollars a year in taxes *as a bartender.* Trump paid $750. He contributed less to funding our communities than waitresses & undocumented immigrants. Donald Trump has never cared for our country more than he cares for himself. A walking scam,â she wrote.
