On Monday, Randallās family shared a statement with People exclusively following his death over the weekend.
āIt is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request,ā they said.
His family added, āWe are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours.ā
They concluded their statement by asking for āprivacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan.ā
Randall was 57 years old.
In a 2021 interview on Red Table Talk with actress Jada Pinkett Smith, Bullock referred to Randall as āthe love of my lifeā following her divorce.
āWe share two beautiful children ā three children, his older daughter,ā Bullock added, calling her relationship āthe best thing ever.āĀ
