A spokesperson for the Osmond family released a statement on his passing, stating that he died at 8:30 p.m. Monday; his wife and children were at his bedside when he passed.
Osmond and his siblings were part the musical group “The Osmonds”, which included his brothers, Merrill, Jay, Donny and Jimmy.
Osmond was born in Ogden, Utah on June 22, 1949. He married Suzanne Pinegar and had eight children.
Throughout his life, Alan Osmond and his brothers performed on various stages with a variety of musical instruments.
He also worked as a producer on several TV series, including “Donny and Marie” and “The Osmond Family Show,”according to IMDB.com.
Osmond was designated by his father as the leader of the Osmond Brothers.
