‘Pathetic’: Stephen A. Smith Unloads On Biden Over Running For Reelection Despite Doubts About Completing Second Term

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith criticized President Joe Biden on Wednesday after the outgoing president told USA Today that he was uncertain if he could have completed another term in office.

The 82-year-old president still believes he could have defeated President-elect Donald Trump in the November presidential election, but acknowledged in the USA Today interview that he was unsure whether he had the ability to serve another four years. Smith, on “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” said the president’s remarks made him grateful that Biden will leave office on Jan. 20.

“It’s validation on several levels why President Biden should have bowed his ass out of the race. You see, you can’t let him off the hook here. So let me get this straight: you knew that you probably couldn’t go another four years, but you ran for election. You didn’t bow out,” Smith said. “You didn’t do what you had promised to do, which was to be a transitional president and pass the baton to a younger generation. You didn’t do that. Then you sat up there and you avoided primaries, and then you went and showed up on June 27th and looked lost.”
