Golfer Tiger Woods allegedly has two Hydrocodone pills in his pocket when he was arrested at the scene of a car crash Friday.
Woods was arrested and charged with a DUI after an Accident in Jupiter, Florida.
No one was seriously injured in the rollover crash.
Woods was eventually booked at the Martin County Jail. The county sheriff revealed in a press conference that the arrest followed Woodsâ roadside tests to determine his condition.
The sheriff stated alcohol was not a factor in the crash; Woods refused a urinalysis test.
TMZ reported Tuesday morning that Woods had the pills at the time of his arrest.
The outlet had obtained Woodsâ arrest record.
âAccording to the report, Woods was sweating profusely after the crash, despite sitting in the back of a vehicle with cool air flowing ⌠and a deputy noted his movement was âlethargic and slow,â and he showed âsevere signs of impairment,ââ per TMZ.
âWhen he removed his sunglasses, the deputy observed Woodsâ eyes to be âbloodshot and glassy,â and his pupils were âextremely dilated.â They also noted Woods appeared âextremely alertâ during the investigation,â TMZ continued. âWoods was asked if he takes any prescription medication ⌠and he replied, âI take a few.ââ
âWoods told deputies he was traveling from his home ⌠which is about 5 minutes from the crash scene,â TMZ reported. âDuring a search of Woodsâ person, the deputy stated they located two white pills inside his left pants pocket with the marks âM367â â revealed to be Hydrocodone, an opioid medication used to treat severe pain.â
âIn the police report, Woods also explained to police that he was looking at his phone and changing the radio station while he was behind the wheel. Because of that, he didnât see the car in front of his slowing down,â per TMZ.
