Democratic Washington Rep. Pramila Jayapal lost her temper on Wednesday while questioning FBI Director Kash Patel about meeting with victims of deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
A bipartisan group hosted a Sept. 3 press conference with ten Epstein victims, demanding Congress vote on legislation mandating the publication of all documents related to the deceased pedophile. During a House Judiciary Committee hearing, Jayapal demanded Patel bring Epstein victims in to testify.

āLet me tell you about the survivors and letās bring them up here into the room. These are women who came to the Hill and testified that they were groomed and raped at the age of 14 and 16 years old and they called to meet with the president and to meet with the FBI and to have people investigate their claims,ā Jayapal said. āSome of them have never testified before. If you are so interested in getting the public to submit any information, why have you not met with them? You said you havenāt met with them. Have you met with them?ā
Patel did not directly answer, prompting Jayapal to scream at him.
āIs the answer yes or no to whether or not you met with these women who were sexually abused and raped?ā she shouted.
āAny insinuation by you or any people on your side that I am not man-hunting child predators and sex traffickers, just look at the stats. And you talk about cover-ups, maāam. You talk about cover-ups,ā Patel retorted. āWhere were you during the Obama and Biden administrationās when these so-called cover-ups were going on? Why didnāt anyone in those administrations talk to any of these purported witnesses? I have welcomed every single person to provide credible information.ā
Jayapal asked Patel if Epstein victims were ācredible.ā Patel again did not answer directly, leading Jayapal to repeat her question.
āMaāam, Iām commenting on the evidence we have. We have routinely asked for people to come forward with more evidence and we will look at it,ā Patel said. āAnd the evidence that we have was the same evidence that the Biden and Obama Justice Department had. And they determined, not me, they determined that that information was not credible.ā
Jayapal claimed Patel was not answering her question.
āI have. You just donāt like the answer,ā Patel said. Jayapal repeated the question again.
āI have answered the question ⦠Iām the only FBI director that has welcomed new information in this case,ā Patel said. āThis administration is the only one that has welcomed any new information in this case.ā
Jayapal demanded a yes or no answer and kept repeating her question.
Chairman Jim Jordan said Jayapalās time expired, but she continued shouting.
āAre you going to continue to cover up for the rich and powerful men, including those that might be on this committee?ā Jayapal screamed. āOr are you going to allow them to testify?ā
Epstein victims told NBC Newsā Hallie Jackson on Sept. 3 that they had no knowledge of President Donald Trump ādoing anything inappropriateā in relation to the deceased pedophile. The Oversight Committee published over 33,000 pages of documents pertaining to Epstein on Sept. 2 that they obtained from the DOJ.
