The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Monday it charged a Georgia man with sending violent threats against the head of the Trump administration’s intelligence community.

Aliakbar Mohammad Amin, 24, allegedlyĀ sent threats to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and her family over text and social media posts, the DOJ said in a press release.Ā The announcement comes after a week full of charges related to violent animosity against Republicans and the Trump administration.

ā€œDeath to America means death to America literally, Tulsi is living on borrowed time,ā€ Amin said in a text message to an unknown recipient, according to the DOJ.

ā€œThe home you two own . . . is a legitimate target and will be hit at a time and place of our choosing,ā€ he allegedly texted regarding Gabbard’s family.

ā€œPrepare to die, you, Tulsi, and everyone you hold dear,ā€ Amin allegedly said in another text. ā€œAmerica will burn.ā€

Amin’s social media posts included an ā€œimage of a firearm pointed at a photograph of DNI Gabbard and her husband,ā€ the DOJ alleged.

Federal agents found a firearm when searching Amin’s home, the press release said. The FBI reportedly arrested Amin Friday night.

The DOJ did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation. Court records do not yet list Amin’s case or an attorney to contact.

Also on Monday, federal prosecutors charged a New Mexico man with arson against Trump administration adviser Elon Musk’s Tesla company and the Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) headquarters. The DOJ accused another man from Butler, Pennsylvania of threatening Musk, immigration agents and President Donald Trump himself, the agency announced Friday.

The Trump administration has formed an FBI task force centered around catching rising numbers of alleged Tesla vandals.

ā€œLet this be the final lesson to those taking part in this ongoing wave of political violence,ā€ Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a release about the New Mexico case. ā€œWe will arrest you, we will prosecute you, and we will not negotiate. Crimes have consequences.ā€
