Prince Harry, the fifth in line to the British throne, now considers himself a U.S. resident.

That is according to a new U.K. regulatory filing that shows “Harry, using his full name of Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex, has listed the United States as his ‘New Country/State Usually Resident,’ changing his primary residence from the United Kingdom per NBC News.

The documents were filed Wednesday with Companies House. Companies House is a government agency that lists public documents for privately owned businesses in the Britain, per the outlet.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle moved to California in 2020 on the heels of the couple stepping away from royal duties.

“The change was filed this week but was made on June 29 last year, the same day it was reported that Harry and Meghan had officially left Frogmore Cottage, a royal property near to Windsor Castle west of London,” per the outlet.

The prince may be even more invested in the U.S.

“Harry has previously said he has considered becoming an American citizen,” The Washington Post reported.

However, his visa application has been questioned regarding the possibility he lied about past drug use on his application or received favorable treatment by officials.

Harry acknowledged in his memoir “Spare” that he used cocaine, cannabis and psychedelic mushrooms.

The Washington Post reported that Jane Hartley, U.S. ambassador to the U.K., was told in an interview with Sky News that “apparently President Trump says he thinks he might deport Harry if he becomes president.”

Hartley retorted, saying, “Well it’s not going to happen in the Biden administration.”

In an interview with GB News, Trump said, “We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action,” in regards to Harry’s visa application.
