An anonymous caller on the âThe Breakfast Clubâ who claimed to be a federal worker mocked others in her sector on Tuesday for âcomplaining about actually working.â
All federal employees were asked to report the work they did over the past week in an email following a Saturday announcement by Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk on X that said âFailure to respond will be taken as a resignation.â The caller said on âThe Breakfast Clubâ that the email was âa great opportunityâ for federal workers to highlight their value to the government and criticized those who have complained about work requirements under President Donald Trumpâs administration.

âGod forbid they ask you what youâve done. Any other job, theyâll ask you at the end of the week, at the end of the month ⌠and itâs this Democratic thing. Itâs like, I donât want to get the parties into it, but they donât want to go to work,â the caller said. âThey want to work from home. People are not working from home.â
âYou know, this is what you signed up for. If you donât like it, resign. You know what Iâm saying?â she continued. âThey gave you the opportunity to. Find another job. I mean, itâs not that hard. Youâre complaining about actually working. I donât get it.â
Co-host Charlamagne Tha God responded by saying he was not angry about her viewpoint, which was one he said had not yet heard.
âThatâs why I like talking to people ⌠I like talking to people who are in it, because everybody sees things a different way,â Charlamagne said.
Co-host DJ Envy asked the caller if she âfeel like there are a lot of people that are not working, that are taking days off.â
âAbsolutely,â she answered, asserting that there is âa gadgetâ available for purchase that makes it seem like remote workers are working when they are not.
âPeople are actually buying it and using it and not working. And this is our taxpayersâ money, and you have to work,â she added. âYou donât like it, get another job ⌠the people thatâs complaining about writing an email, itâs going to take, what, five minutes out of your day? Ten minutes?â
âAnd I read on Twitter a guy was complaining, âOh, itâs going to be an hour.â It takes you an hour to write five things that you completed? Okay, um, maybe you do need another job,â the caller said, laughing.
The email to federal employees directed them to list five accomplished tasks â excluding classified information â by midnight on Monday.
Trump signed an executive order on his first day in office mandating all federal workers return to in-person work. The order states that all remote federal work arrangements must end â except in exceptional situations.
