A Florida real estate executive and social media Influencer and her husband were arrested over the Fourth of July weekend after deputies accused them of leaving two young children alone in a Key Largo resort room while they drank at the pool.

According to Fox News, Allison Sirica Cannella, 40, and Brian Nicholas Cannella, 43, both of Delray Beach, each face two felony counts of Child neglect, per the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to the Reefhouse Resort & Marina at approximately 1:45 p.m. Saturday after hotel employees reported hearing a baby crying inside a guest room for an extended period.

When staff entered the room, authorities said they found two young children alone in nursery beds.

Investigators later located the Cannellas at the resort's pool area, where deputies said they had been drinking alcoholic beverages.

According to the sheriff's office, security camera footage, witness statements, and other evidence indicated the children had been left unattended for between 40 minutes and one hour.

The Florida Department of Children and Families was notified following the incident.

Authorities said the children were released into the care of a family friend until child welfare officials arrived.

Deputies said neither child suffered serious injuries.

Both Allison and Brian Cannella were arrested and booked into the Monroe County Jail. Court records show their first court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 1.

The arrests drew attention because of Allison Cannella's public profile in Florida's real estate industry.

Her private Instagram account highlights luxury real estate investments, home renovation projects and Florida lifestyle content while identifying her as both a lawyer and real estate investor.

The profile also links to Exhale Vacation Rentals and an online storefront featuring products tied to her design and renovation work.

Exhale Vacation Rentals told Fox News Digital that Cannella is not the owner or operator of the company.

Cannella has also been featured in "Atlantic Ave Magazine," which profiled her work renovating luxury Florida vacation rental properties.

The publication highlighted one waterfront investment that reportedly more than doubled its annual rental income after a major redesign.

According to her employer's online biography, Cannella has more than 15 years of experience in real estate and law and has worked on more than $25 billion in corporate and real estate transactions. She currently serves as senior vice president and general counsel, having previously practiced commercial real estate law.

The criminal case remains pending as the Child neglect charges move through the court system.
