‘Really Unseemly’: Ana Navarro Calls Nancy Pelosi’s Response To Dem’s Election Loss ‘Nasty’

“The View” co-host Ana Navarro criticized former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Monday for blaming the Democratic Party’s presidential election loss on President Joe Biden’s late exit from the 2024 race.

Pelosi suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris or another candidate would have been “stronger” and better equipped to make their case to the American public if Biden had dropped out of the race sooner during a Thursday interview with The New York Times. Navarro accused Pelosi of being “nasty” and “unseemly” for allegedly shifting blame from herself and placing it on Biden.

“ must’ve been absent the day in kindergarten where they did the lesson, if you have nothing good to say, don’t say anything at all,” Navarro said. “I mean, why Nancy? Why? I find this so unproductive, so nasty, so unnecessary. It’s like, she wants to make sure that people know it wasn’t her. She has no blame in this, ‘I said Biden should’ve gotten out earlier, I said there should’ve been a primary. Don’t blame me,’” Nevarro paraphrased. “I think it’s really unseemly and you know, frankly, it’s done with. Right. These criticisms against Biden, look, we will never know if the result would’ve been different if Biden stepped off earlier, we will never know if the results would’ve been different if he had stayed in, we will never know if the results would’ve been different if there had been an open primary. What we do know is that Biden is there for the next two-and-a-half months.”

During the interview, Pelosi said the party would have fared better if a primary had been held ahead of time.

“The fact is did a great job with the time constraint that she had. Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race,” Pelosi said. “Kamala, I think, still would have won, but she may have been stronger, having taken her case to the public sooner … The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary. And as I say, Kamala may have, I think she would have done well in that and been stronger going forward. But we don’t know that. That didn’t happen. We live with what happened. And because the president endorsed Kamala Harris immediately, that really made it almost impossible to have a primary at that time. If it had been much earlier, it would have been different.”
