A prison fight has landed music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs in solitary confinement, according to reports.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence for transportation with the intent to engage in prostitution. He will be released sooner due to good behavior.
According to ABC News, the fight started after an inmate said something to Combs. It is not clear whether the solitary confinement is temporary or long term.
Combs’ attorney did not immediately return a request for comment by NewsNation.
A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons said “for privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information regarding the conditions of confinement for any inmate, including housing assignments, nor do we discuss whether a particular inmate is the subject of allegations, investigations, or sanctions.”
Combs is currently housed at the low‑security Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
He was originally charged with multiple offenses but was eventually acquitted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
The verdict came last summer after jurors spent 13 hours over three days deliberating.
Prosecutors claimed Combs used his power in the music industry to coerce and force women to engage in prostitution and parties known as “freak-offs.” These were described as drug-fueled sex parties that lasted days.
His legal team has appealed his sentence, claiming it was unduly harsh.
