President Joe Bidenâs slip-up received mockery during a White House press briefing.
On Thursday, a reporter asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about the president urging Americans to vote for him after Arizonaâs Supreme Court revived a near-total ban on abortion in the state.
âIâm going to be careful because obviously he was talking about 2024,â Jean-Pierre responded.
However, one reporter chimed in, âActually, he was talking about the 20th Century, as I recallâŚâ
âMmmm, mmhmm, OK,â Jean-Pierre responded sarcastically.

Biden responded, âElect me, Iâm in the 20th Century.â
He quickly corrected himself, â21st Century.â
Earlier this week, the stateâs Supreme Court to revive a 160-year-old near total ban on abortion.
The law, which was in place before Arizona was even made a state, bans abortion from the moment of conception. However, it does provide an exception for the life of the woman.
The court put a hold on its implementation for 14 days to provide time for additional challenges.
