Journalist Geraldo Rivera is opening up about his departure from Fox News.
Rivera appeared on ABCâs âThe Viewâ on Thursday and shed some light on his time at Fox News.
He explained he was fired from being a co-host on âThe Five,â but said executives offered opportunities on other shows.
However, he added, âI said, âIf you fired me from the number one show, then Iâm going to quit.â
Rivera also opened up about his time on âThe Fiveâ and said he had a âvery toxic relationshipâ with an unnamed co-host.
Sara Haines asked if he believed the âtoxic relationshipâ and âthings getting personalâ led to his removal from the show.
âSure, and I also thought that it was very unfair that I was not judged objectively in our disputes. But rather he was always favored⊠and I was suspended three times,â Rivera responded.

He recounted how his appearances on âThe Fiveâ diminished from weekly to biweekly to monthly, and how toward the end of his time there his appearances were abruptly canceled.
âSo I was really ticked off,â Rivera added.
He confirmed the co-host he had a bad working relationship with was one of the male stars of the show.
However, he declined to name the individual.
Rivera revealed he would no longer be on âThe Fiveâ in June.
