Actor Ron Cephas Jonesā āThis Is Usā co-stars paid tribute following his death.
On Sunday, actor Sterling K. Brown, who played the biological son of Jonesā character, according to the āTodayā show, paid tribute to his TV dad on Sunday.
āLife imitated art today, and one of the most wonderful people the world has ever seen is no longer with us. has passed away, and the world is a little less bright. Brother, you are loved,ā he wrote on his Instagram page.
Brown added, āAnd you will be missed. Keep them laughing in the next phase of existence, and Iāll see you when I get there.ā

Actress Mandy Moore also took to her Instagram page to pay tribute to Jones.
āGetting to know and work with Ron on the wild ride of āThis Is Usā was the greatest gift- he was pure magic as a human and an artistā¦I will treasure all of the moments forever. Even though he wasnāt around set as much as we all wished, he was such an intrinsic part of the fabric of the show, itās like he was always there,ā she wrote.
Moore posted a photo of the pair together during the filming of an episode for the show.
āIāll never forget how special it was to film this particular episode and welcome him back to say a proper goodbye to our TIU family and the whole experience. I am just so sad,ā she continued.
Moore concluded her post sending her love and thoughts to Jonesā daughter, his family, and friends.

In a statement to the Associated Press, on Saturday, Jonesā manager, Dan Spilo, revealed he died ādue to a long-standing pulmonary issue.ā The two-time Emmy Award winner was 66 years old.
āThroughout the course of his career, his warmth, beauty, generosity, kindness, and heart were felt by anyone who had the good fortune of knowing him,ā Spilo shared.
