Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is responding to Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman Donna Brazile’s rant telling her to “go to hell.”

As previously reported on IJR, Brazile fired back at McDaniel in response to her statement about the Democratic primary being “rigged.”

However, McDaniel isn’t backing down from her stance. She also insisted that Brazile was “out of line.”

McDaniel explained on Fox News:

“It’s never fun to have your teenagers come home from school and say, ‘Hey mom you’re trending on social media because some woman said you should go to heck,’ but that being said, politics is a contact sport, and I think she was out of line with her response. Of course, we all recognize that the Democrats did put their thumb on the scale for Hillary Clinton in 2016 because of Donna, because of the book that she wrote, she exposed that.”

Brazile went on to explain her stance on the Democrats’ alleged efforts to “go after” Sanders.

“You’ve seen the Democrats change their debate process to put Bloomberg on the stage, and you’ve seen the concerted effort by the establishment Democrats to go after Bernie Sanders,” McDaniel said.

She continued, “And you know who’s saying at the most? Bernie Sanders. So I felt very in my lane saying this is happening, I don’t think it’s something we can’t discuss and I think her response was a little out of line and disproportionate to my comments earlier today.”

The latest news follows a string of reports about the ladies’ heated exchange. Shortly after Brazile’s interview aired, McDaniel took to Twitter with her initial response.

She tweeted, “It’s ok, I’d be having a bad day too if my party was still hopelessly divided. Talk of a brokered convention and the DNC trying to stop Bernie obviously hit a little close to home.”

Brazile has yet to respond to McDaniel’s most recent interview.
