Actress Sandra bullockās partner Bryan Randall died after a private battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosisĀ (ALS).
On Monday, Randallās Family shared a statement with People exclusively following his Death.
āIt is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request,ā they said.
His Family also expressed its gratitude for āthe tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illnessā with them and āto the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours.ā
āAt this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan,ā the statement concluded.
Randall was 57 years old.
In 2021, Bullock, 59, gushed over her beau, whom she had been with since 2015, in an interview on Red Table Talk with actressĀ Jada PinkettĀ Smith and explained why she didnāt feel the need to marry him.
āI am someone who went through the divorce process. I found the love of my life. We share two beautiful children ā three children, his older daughter,ā Bullock said, calling her relationship āthe best thing ever.āĀ
She added, āSo, I donāt want to say do it like I do it, but I donāt need a paper to be a devoted partner and a devoted mother.ā

āI donāt need to be told to be ever-present in the hardest of times. I donāt need to be told to weather a storm with a good man,ā Bullock continued. Ā
The āMiss Congenialityā actress also encouraged others with a similar belief on marriage to āthink about what kind of parent he would beā and āwhat kind of parent you would be.ā
āWould you both be great parents to those children even if you didnāt make it as a couple?ā she asked.
