Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci is joining the Lincoln Project, a Republican-aligned group, in its efforts to remove President Donald Trump from office in November.
Scaramucci told Bloomberg News he is assisting the group with fundraising and is adamant Trump needs to be defeated in this yearâs election.
âHe has a chance here to really get humiliated, which I hope he will. The economyâs in shambles as a direct result of his decision making and the politicization of a health care crisis,â Scaramucci said.
He added, âAnd so for all those reasons, heâs obviously incompetent and so weâve got to seek his removal.â
Scaramucci said while some Republicans are considered âNever Trumpers,â he views himself as a âHad Enough of Trumper.â
According to Scaramucci, a Biden victory âwill be the end of Trumpism. Itâs a personality cult.â
This is not the first time Scaramucci has criticized the president.
In January, Scaramucci questioned Trumpâs mental health after he stumbled over his words at a rally, as IJR previously reported.
Trump has attacked 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Bidenâs mental status, as IJR previously reported.
He called on Biden to take a cognitive test and âgive it a try.â
Biden continues to gain momentum garnering endorsements and support.
According to The New York Times/Siena College survey, Biden is receiving more support in battleground states where his campaign previously lagged.
Trump has received harsh criticism from Biden over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
Biden recognized Trumpâs recent efforts to wear a mask in public, but suggested he needs to do more than just that.
Biden said he is glad Trump âmade the shiftâ but believes it is still ânot enough.â
In a speech in Delaware, Biden reiterated his criticism of Trump and argued he âhas surrenderedâ and âwaved the white flag and left the battlefield.â
