Senator Comments On Trump Statements Following Train Murder

A Ukrainian refugee fled a war zone… only to get murdered in Charlotte, North Carolina, after her alleged killer racked up 14 arrests and still roamed the streets like it was an all-you-can-commit crime buffet. And now, the debate over who’s to blame is heating up in a way that’s getting mighty uncomfortable for the folks wearing blue.

Because here’s the part the media really doesn’t want you to focus on: the blood isn’t just on the hands of the guy who pulled the trigger — it’s splattered all over the soft-on-crime policies that let him walk the streets in the first place.

But the second someone suggests the feds should step in? Oh boy, cue the pearl clutching.

Senator Thom Tillis, Republican from North Carolina, decided to take a stand — sort of. While the murder of Iryna Zarutska is horrific, Tillis is warning the White House not to make his state the poster child for federal intervention. Why? Because, as he delicately puts it, “there are a lot of cities we should be going to before Charlotte.” Translation: Please go wreck someone else’s backyard first.

But there’s more to it than just turf wars. Tillis doesn’t want Washington stepping in because it risks doing what Democrats are counting on — masking their own failures by handing off responsibility to Uncle Sam.

He also said this:

Democrat-run cities fail to protect their citizens. They coddle criminals. They dismantle policing. They roll out cashless bail like it’s a free iPhone promo. Then, when the inevitable chaos explodes — and innocent people like Zarutska end up dead — they want the federal government to swoop in and fix what they broke.

No, sir. You don’t get to burn the house down and then ask the feds to pay for a new roof.

Meanwhile, President Trump isn’t mincing words. He said it flat out: “Blood is on the hands of Democrats.” And he’s right. Because if you keep turning dangerous repeat offenders loose on the streets in the name of “equity” or “justice reform” or whatever the buzzword of the week is — what exactly do you think is going to happen?
