“I refuse to even look at @carrieunderwood,” Grahn posted on Threads, announcing her boycott of the episode featuring Underwood and her fellow American Idol judges. When her comments sparked headlines, the 69-year-old soap veteran doubled down, saying she’d just watch Kimmel next week instead.

What made the eight-time Grammy winner’s performance so offensive to Grahn? Apparently, simply participating in a presidential inauguration—one that millions of Americans voted for—was enough to trigger a full-on boycott.
