Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) is blasting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and putting the blame on the House speaker “for the tragedy that occurred on January 6th.”
“There is a reason that Nancy Pelosi is the most disliked elected official in America. She always puts her own partisan Politics over what’s best for the American people,” Stefanik, who serves as the chair of the House Republican Conference, said on Tuesday.
The third-ranking House Republican then called Pelosi an “authoritarian who has broken the People’s House.”
Taking aim at Pelosi for rejecting two House Republicans for the select committee that will investigate the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, Stefanik said the House speaker “doesn’t want the American people to know the truth or learn the facts.”
