Most of the cost for first lady Dr. Jill Biden to travel from Paris, France, to Wilmington, Delaware, to attend Hunter Biden’s trial will be paid mostly by taxpayers — over $200,000.
A small portion of the cost will be paid by the Democratic National Committee (DNC), per ABC News.
Jill Biden left Paris after D-Day ceremonies to attend Hunter Biden’s trial. But she didn’t stay in Delaware long, flying back to Paris a day later.
If officials travel for personal reasons, they have to pay the government back for “the full coach fare for all flights,” according to U.S. Code.
